«American Horror Story: Asylum» er nominert til hele 17 Emmy-priser, inklusive for beste miniserie. Den leder dermed an da årets Emmy-kandidater ble kjent i dag.

«Game of Thrones» ble nominert i 16 kategorier, mens Liberace-filmen «Behind the Candelabra» - en HBO-produksjon som opprinnelig ble laget for fjernsyn - mottok 15 nominasjoner.

Blant annet vil Michael Douglas, som spiller Liberace, slåss om prisen for beste mannlige skuespillere i en miniserie med Matt Damon - som i filmen spiller hans unge elsker, ifølge BBC.

Netflix-serien «House of Cards», som fikk ni nominasjoner, går også inn i fjernsynshistorien som det første onlineprogrammet nominert til beste dramaserie.

Prisutdelingen finner sted i Los Angeles 22. september.
